About Me
I am a speaker, leader, coach, and educator with a Masters in the Art of Teaching, Masters of Education in Trauma and Resilience, as well as a Masters of Education in Administration. I have been at the forefront of designing and implementing my connection-centered vision to create a school that changes its approach to all stakeholder needs, especially those of its students.
Through my keynote and workshops, I emphasize a rare opportunity in education today to reimagine how students define their school experience. After hearing me speak, teachers and schools will walk away with specific building blocks and action steps that will create a future in education centered on the needs of students, families, and all who serve them.
My Mission
As educators, many of us were taught that classroom management centers on designing rules and expectations that students must follow. I believe in replacing management with connection, a practice resulting in communities that honor student stories far beyond the walls of a school building.
From Central City, New Orleans, to Newark, Nutley, and now Plainfield, New Jersey, I remain in the classroom alongside other teachers laying the groundwork for new thought patterns and practices that improve teacher and student circumstances.
